The Neverending Story

I went to see it in cinema with my Mum, when I was 7yrs old.
It is breathtaking and magical. I loved it and I still do.
The story, Fantasia land, Atreyu, Artax, Falkor, Childlike Empresses.
This great movie left such strong impressions I shall positively always remember it and cherish the memory of such a marvellous story....
25yrs later after I was in love with Atreyu I met him ;)

Gydenar's Temple

I'm blessed to be friend with Trisha Gydenar - The Goddess Messenger. An amazing woman, full of warmth, patient, friendliness, tolerance. She recently moved into new flat in the church. Yes, in the church ;]
This place is amazing, the energy within feels so so good that you just don't want to leave. I'm almost jealous I want such flat! ;]
Here are some photos of this amazing place.

The power of the May Queen

The element of Water triumphs over dead bodies of vikings when the May Queen with one gesture calms the sea.
"That's enough!"
Sirens surround the Vikings, their voices powerfull, the creatures full of magic with keening bring back to life the dead ones. The Siren Champion Mergen Swan takes Viking Champion Wilde Ordfurna hand and they walk together towards the Goddess. They offer her a gift - the drinking horn fill with mead. She accepts it.
The sea is calm. Sirens and vikings are united.
But the red mist is approaching them.
It's not a mist, they are Reds the energy of chaos and mischief. Newborn to the world are discovering their emotions, sexuality, freedom. The Sirens show them the passion and they dance together, while watched by the vikings. Wilde Ordfurna blows the horn - the Reds start taking away the Sirens, they draw their attention more and more, so the vikings chase them away.
Sirens together with Vikings sail away to the sea and only the full moon is watching.
Suddenly an evil roar drags the attention of Freo Wulf.
He points towards big wave - it is a Jormungand The World Serpent! He brings all the negativity to the sea, to the Sirens. He is strong, only united forces can destroy it. Sirens side by side with Vikings fight the Jormungand.
The sea is calm again.....

Thoughts arrive like butterflies

Just a thought I heard today

'We have to find ourselves outside of ourselves; to realize who we are, we have to experience ourselves as part of something that is greater than what we understand ourselves to be right now.'

Imbolc 2010

The snow has finally melted and the first snowdrops are beginning to raise their sleepy heads, come and join us celebrate the returning light and hope for the longer days to come. Imbolc, the feast of Brighid is upon us.

The story of The Cailleach and her birthing of The Golden Boy:

The Cailleach is heavily pregnant with the spark of life and hope of the returning sun. Brigid takes on the role of the midwife, aiding the Cailleach's labour. The Cailleach gives birth to The Golden Boy - the spark of life for the coming year. The Cailleach then continues her transformational journey and returns to her rock form.

Thorgal

Where does he come from? Where is he going?
In the Viking's environment mature man without roots, without father, without mother. Stubbornness with which opposes people distrustful towards its otherness, will result later in the strength of character, allowing the impossible...
Incredible story of one lonely man? No! There is Aaricia, his only and biggest love. Thanks to her, he'll go through the most dangerous corners of the world and thoughts, he'll find his past and happiness in the bosom of the family.
He'll be in the gardens of Asgard.
He get to know the Death and the Giants.
He'll carry out acts that even the Gods have not dared to think about...
He'll learn that he never was, is and will no longer mere mortal.

My favourite comic book by the Belgian writer Jean Van Hamme and the Polish graphic artist Grzegorz Rosiński.
If you know french enjoy the website THORGAL
Unfortunatelly I don't know, so have to rely on polish website THORGAL PL

The Time, The Place

Ever wondered what is happening next week in New York City, Benin, Panama or Siberia?
What is the best time to witness young king penguins taking their first swim in Antarctica, visiting the outlandish Festival of the Desert in Mali, watching the Northern Lights at their most vivid in Lapland and paying homage to the King in Memphis, Tennessee, on Elvis Day.
What travel experience can you miss out by staying at home?
This is a travellers' guide to the one of the most awe-inspiring experiences to be had on each day of the year around the world. Each experience is accompanied by striking photography that evokes a very special time and place, while information boxes give transport, contact and timing details.

And my photograph from BELTANE FIRE FESTIVAL 2008 is in it!!! :]

Frozen Britain seen from above

Global warming caused ice age in UK

(photo taken on 07.01.2010 by NASA's Terra Satellite)

It's bloody freezing here in Edinburgh :/  Yesterday morning on the bottom of my bedroom window I found frozen condensation water. Heating is EXTREMELY expensive here. So we have it on just for a 4-6hrs per day, usually once we are back from work, in the evening (me and my flatmates).
Yes, I do support global warming ;]

The Big Bang Theory

Leonard and Sheldon are brilliant physicists, the kind of "beautiful minds" that understand how the universe works. But none of that genius helps them interact with people, especially women. All this begins to change when a free-spirited beauty named Penny moves in next door.
Sheldon, Leonard's roommate, is quite content spending his nights playing Klingon Boggle with their socially dysfunctional friends, fellow CalTech scientists Wolowitz and Koothrappali. However, Leonard sees in Penny a whole new universe of possibilities...

I love that sitcom :D makes me constantly laugh. I can watch it over and over again.
Their dialogs in physicists jargon and discussion about the universe & life are absolutely brilliant.
Ok, I admit I'm physicist ;]

I found Big Bang Theory characters cut outs on web.
This is Dr Sheldon Cooper, on my desk at work ;]

Sheldon the Conqueror

The beginning

I've got a baby! ;]
This bambino was sent by my Mum so I will receive it for Xmas.
Someone may say - well post office are so busy during this festive period. But if it was meant to arrive for Xmas this would happen. It didn't.
Baby arrived together with a new year ;]
Is this a destiny?

Mardylas gave me a silver ring for Xmas.
Pentagram ring.
He says it's very personal, that he wants to give me protection and a part of himself.
Hmm, shall I take it as proposal? ;]
